Welcome to Moss Notes!

Porella platyphylla
I love bryophytes. I love their complexity and their beauty all wrapped up in such a tiny little package. I love showing people just how cool they are. I’ve been looking at them for almost 20 years and they never cease to amaze me!
Right now i'm working on a guide to mosses of new england and hopefully thinking about and sharing aspects of that with you will help move things along.

  1. What a treat to find your blog! I noticed you were a new follower of my Saratoga Woods and Waterways blog, so I came over here to see what you were up to. I'm just beginning to learn the names of some mosses and liverworts, so I'll be eager to learn what you have to teach me.

  2. Awesome blog, Sue. The book in progress looks great! I wish I had it now to help the students in my "Local Flora" course. We have a moss and lichen club in Ohio called "Ohio Moss and Lichen Association."
